From the spring of 2004 through March of 2005, Paul DiCola planned and

implemented his Eagle Scout Project, which involved refurbishing the

South Side Boys & Girls Club in New Rochelle, New York.  The Club was

used by over 400 children each day as an after school site for homework

and play.

When he first saw these children and the poor condition in which they used

the Club, he knew he had to make it his project and help them enjoy a

fresher, cleaner, happier environment.  With his team of volunteers, he

oversaw badly needed painting, repairs, ceiling tile replacements, wood

sanding, furniture donations and the freshening of murals.

The project involved over 550 hours of volunteer time from his fellow Troop 11

scouts, their families and Paul.
